Before you complain too loudly, take stock of all the good thim things you have. However dark the night, the bright sun will rise at dawn. Sure, life can often make you weary, discouraged and disappointed, yet for every discouragement there are a dozen sparkling treasures; all around you are people, things, ideas, values, traditions, experiences, that continually lift you up. Take time to value and appreciate them, for what you value and give your attention, will grow.
Life is a privilege, not a punishment. You're not a victim but a real miracle with the precious gift of life and all the possibilities which that entails. The more you remember the good things you have, the more valuable will they become. Before you respond, before you speak, before you take action, before you decide, take a moment to be truly thankful. Then, whatever you do next will be vastly more effective. You'll see more clearly, and live more fully, the abundance that is your life.
