In the holy Qur'an it is said that Allah (s.w.t.) has created us so that we should worship Him.
Now, regarding worship, Allah (s.w.t.) has fixed the purpose of our creation. We cannot worship Him unless we first recognise Him as almighty, eternal, not made of and by anyone, and realise that he is all alone without association, that He is everywhere and that nothing is hidden from Him. Worshipping Allah (s.w.t.) means that we have to abide by the commandments of the One Who sent one hundred and twenty four thousand prophets and a divine book for our guidance. Our main duty is that, before the performance of each activity, we should seek His guidance.

In a nutshell, it is obligatory and incumbent upon us to worship Allah (s.w.t.) because the purpose of our creation is to follow His guidance through His apostles. The provision of instructions for living and the appointment of those to guide us are in the hand of Allah (s.w.t.). Allah (s.w.t.) alone has the right to select, elect or nominate a khalifa to guide us and rules for guidance to enable us live in this world peacefully and amicably.
May Allah (s.w.t.) give us His taufiq (divine grace) to abide by His rules and regulations without bias and purely and sincerely to perform our Illat-e-Ghai (cause of creation).
